I ran late tonight at 10:00pm. My son and his friend came with me on their bikes it was fun! I felt real good and I know I could have ran more. I am going to run a couple miles tomorrow night. Probably with my children again. I exchanged my shoes today because the others were making my toes burn. So far so good on the new shoes. I also bought a few gels for my long runs. Well see you tomorrow:)

I haven't ran yet today but I want to share my excitement.  I am going to St. George this weekend so I get to drive the marathon route and do my long run on the route also. I think this will better prepare me for my run. I'm planning on doing the hardest part of the run so I know what I need to work on! This is my first marathon and I just started running 1 month ago. I have 41/2 months to prepare. My friend talked me into it and my husband as well. I have family going to support me and meet me at the finish line, which adds more pressure on me (this is good).

I'm doing a short run again tonight and going to run comfortably. Tomorrow morning at 6am I'm running with my really fast friend whom I cannot keep up with YET! Wish me luck:) I will be back to report my run tonight.

I did a quick 2 mile run to maverick last night with my kids riding their bikes beside me. It was fun. They got a treat so it made it more fun for them. I'm going to start paying attention to my food now as well. The marathon is getting closer and I'm feeling a little nervous.

I ran with my friend Sara today. I think I've had a bug lately. I've had extremely low energy and stomachaches. We left at 5:30 am and I pushed through as long as I could. I know I need to get many more miles in to be ready for the marathon. I'm still aiming for 11 miles on Saturday. I want to run 3-5 miles tomorrow. I bought some supplement drinks today for my long runs. I got DCG for energy and endurance it has lots of vitamins and the quick carbs I will need (no caffeine). I also got ISO-100 protein to aid in muscle recovery. The flavor is smooth banana (it's good)!

I have 69 days left until race day! I ran 12 miles this morning. I got up at 5am, ate whole wheat cheerios and let my food settle until 6:30. I felt good until mile 11 (it was hot) and had to push a little in the last mile. The banana protein supplement I bought to mix with my carb drink makes me sick if I drink it before or during my run so I had a huckleberry flavored gel today, it was good and my body handled it well. So I guess I will buy more. I'm doing my long runs at the beginning of the week so I can have them over with. Yeah, I don't have to do a long run for the rest of the week! Thats a good feeling. The only issue I had during my run was my toes. They were burning until they went numb. When I got home I had to put bandaids on two of my toes on each foot. One toe pushes on the other cutting off the circulation or something. I'll have to figure out a solution to this problem so I don't lose a toe. Ha ha! I planned a schedule each day until the race. I also found inspirational quotes that I can remember while I'm running to motivate me. I feel alot better now that I have an exact plan in place. I have another opportunity to run the marathon route again on Aug. 7th. I'm saving my long run for that day. It's going to be hot so I'll probably be out the door by 4am. Anyway, I'll be back tomorrow.

I'm going to St. George again this week!  I'm going to do 15 miles on the route. My cousins live there and they said they would run a couple of miles with me. They are also volunteering at the race (I had no idea they lived there, I found out at my family reunion last saturday). I'm excited I will see them at the starting line and the finish line!
